The whole idea about AHU was to be a one -stop shop for a thriving industry. One of the first of its kind we have seen in Australia.
It connected artists with promoters and the general public to increase popularity and find the latest in hip hop, apparel, and music in OZ.
It could do this with custom artists profiles, including their bio's, latest photos, and links to their myspace.
Beatmakers, artists and fans could listen in to the online radio, browse through the featured artists, buy their latest track, or find upcoming events. The radio/music player entertained listeners as they browsed the site and provided a great incentive to keep coming back.
Our beat player worked really nicely where any up and coming artist that needed the right beat could listen live and purchase the rights to use it.
The online store was set up to sell cd's, dvd's, concert tickets, beats or sample sounds, including the latest in hip hop apparel & fashion.
Just a website you say? Well it is a little more than that. This online portal created opportunities that has seen the artists involved featured on many TV shows, radio shows and in magazines; not to mention supporting acts, after parties and workshop appearances.
